I'm So Glad When Daddy Comes Home!

Okay, not really when Daddy comes home but when Daddy comes to my home! My dad called about a week ago to tell me he was coming to the city this weekend. I was so excited I almost burst out of my skin! Now I only need to wait a few more hours and I get to see my dad!

I love making new friends and learning new things!

Saturday morning I went on a church history tour of lower Manhattan. The information was facinating but the sites were a bit underwhelming (no original structures still exist) except for a super-cool secret park we found on top of a parking garage. It is my new favorite hangout! I have been back three times already!

Mary Poppins!

One of the best things about living in New York is being able to go to a Broadway show whenever you want. Kelly, Juleen, Ellie, Courtnie, her mom and I all went to see Mary Poppins on Wednesday night. Though quite different from the movie, it was a lot of fun.

It is my summer goal to see at least three shows a month! I have to live it up. Who knows how long I will be here!

Fleet Week

For me Memorial Day weekend started with the arrival of the Navy for fleet week. Juleen, Courtnie and I went to Battery Park to watch Kelly work and see the ships come into the harbor. We could have had our faces on the channel 2 news but we had all rolled out of bed and blatently refused to be interviewed.

Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend was probably one of the best weekends I have had since moving to New York. Since about Wednesday my days have been filled with fun, friends, love and laughter. It has been a beautiful week and I am sad it is over.

Love Notes

Earlier this week I randomly received the sweetest notes from a friend of mine. He is not a person I correspond with regularly so I don't know what compelled him to send them but it was the best thing that could have happened to me. I was so flattered I sent him two Thank You notes.

I hope in the future I can bring the same beauty and happiness into someone else's life.
